Grant Writing Volunteer

Overview:

Rondo Young Artist Festival (RONDO) provides valuable opportunities for experience and getting hands-on training in the non-profit performing arts sector. As a member of the organization, you may be responsible for developing and producing a wide range of materials and events, from marketing efforts, to social media, to promotional videos, to website content and traffic analysis. Our interns work side by side with knowledgeable professionals on the business and artistic side thus gaining valuable experience, and the references it takes to advance their careers.


Responsibilities:

     Research funding opportunities
     Assist in crafting written proposals
     Work with and outside grant writer in submitting proposals and adhering to submission guidelines
    • Assist at RONDO events

Qualifications: 
     • Anthropology, Literature, Sociology major preferred or a major with an emphasis on persuasive writing. 
     • Must be able to meet deadlines, will need to have a strong ability to manage grant timelines and                           submissions             
     • Must be detail oriented
     • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks
     • Must have a good phone presence

Location: New York Tri-State Area with opportunity to work remotely 60% of the time. Please note that this is primarily a virtual position.


Start Date: We accept applications on an ongoing basis.

Length of Internship: 6 months with the possibility for renewal or extension.


Expected Time Commitment: Approximately 7-10 hours per week. Scheduling is generally flexible.


Compensation: This is an unpaid, volunteer position. Arrangements for course-credit may be made.

Marketing and Communications Intern

Overview:

Rondo Young Artist Festival (RONDO) provides valuable opportunities for experience and getting hands-on training in the non-profit performing arts sector. As a member of the organization, you may be responsible for developing and producing a wide range of materials and events, from marketing efforts, to social media, to promotional videos, to website content and traffic analysis. Our interns work side by side with knowledgeable professionals on the business and artistic side thus gaining valuable experience, and the references it takes to advance their careers.


Responsibilities:

     • Be present at RONDO events, including fundraisers, benefits, auditions, concerts, recitals,     performances, affiliate events, etc. 

     • Promote RONDO through postings in online entertainment blogs announcing performances, placing ads in magazines and newspapers;

     • Assist in social media planning and preparation,and strategy;  identifying suggestions for content and drafting posts on social media outlets, printed materials and the website;

  • Collect and analyze metrics from RONDO's e-communications and website;

 • Document and archive RONDO media placement

  • Perform research as may be needed;

 • Assist in event preparation and planning, particularly organization of concerts, auditions and events throughout the year; and distribution of fliers and brochures in designated areas.


Location: New York Tri-State Area with opportunity to work remotely 60% of the time. Presence at events 40%. Please note that this is primarily a virtual position.
