Born in New York City, Yali Levy Schwartz began her piano studies at age four with Genya Paley, with whom she currently studies at the Special Music School of America in New York City. She has won numerous awards in competitions including first prize at the Rondo Young Artists Competition, AADGT “Passion of Music” Festival, Kaufman Center International Youth Piano Competition and honorable mention in the Tureck International Bach Competition. At the Orfeo International Music Competition she won first prize in the Concerto competition and performed Beethoven’s Concerto #2 in B Flat Major with the Orfeo Orchestra. Yali was recently on the WQXR radio station hosted by Robert Sherman as part of the McGraw Hill Young Artists Showcase. She has performed at such venues as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and Merkin Concert Hall.

An active chamber musician, Yali regularly collaborates with her classmates at Special Music School, and has performed with various chamber music groups at European Music Festivals in Regensburg, Cremona, and Orfeo. Fluent in English and Hebrew, Yali is an avid reader. She also loves dance, gymnastics and spending time with her friends.
